Beekeeping Classes - 2012 - started in January at the WEA Building, Orchard St, Swansea. More here NB. Theory classes have now finished for this year but you still very welcome to join us for live inspections at our Apiary in Penllergaer - 10am every Sunday morning, weather permitting!

swarmsThe West Glamorgan Beekeepers Association has a responsibility to promote Beekeeping in the local community. To achieve this, we hold year long classes in Beekeeping. The course includes: 10 Theory classes from January through until April at the WEA Building, Orchard Street, Swansea. This will be followed by weekly practical classes from April - December, handling 'live' bees with experienced beekeepers in attendance at our training Apiary in Penllergaer, Swansea. Please contact Mr John Beynon on Tel: Swansea 01792 232810 for further details. Also, please view our News page.

Help us surviveHoneybees, 'Natures Little Helpers', play a vital role in helping crops and flowers to develop by pollination, act as a monitor for the environment and of course, produce honey which has both health giving and healing properties. Without bees for pollination, mankind would die out within 5 years! Now more than ever, the bees need our help to survive.
