swarmsThe West Glamorgan Beekeepers Association has a responsibility to promote Beekeeping in the local community. To achieve this, we hold year long classes in Beekeeping. The course includes: 10 Theory classes from January through until April at the WEA Building, Orchard Street, Swansea. This will be followed by weekly practical classes from April - December, handling 'live' bees with experienced beekeepers in attendance at our training Apiary in Penllergaer, Swansea. Please contact Mr John Beynon on Tel: Swansea 01792 232810 for further details. Also, please view our News page.

Bee with HoneyHoneybees, 'Natures Little Helpers', play a vital role in helping crops and flowers to develop by pollination, act as a monitor for the environment and of course, produce honey which has both health giving and healing properties. Without bees for pollination, mankind would die out within 5 years! Now more than ever, the bees need our help to survive!
