TRAINING APIARY
Old Road, Penllergaer, Swansea. SA4 9AQ
Please refer to the beekeepers calendar for dates
We hold beginners’ training sessions here from 10am to 12 Noon each and every Sunday, from Late April through to September weather permitting. For raw beginners, this is an opportunity to see inside a ‘working’ beehive. A Protective suit is provided, you will need your own gloves (Marigolds) and Wellingtons. This is an ideal opportunity to ‘try out’ this exciting Hobby and discover if it’s for you. Experienced Beekeepers will always ‘bee’ present to guide and advise.
Travel up along the ‘Old’ Swansea Road, past the Old Inn. You will come to a locked Gate. Please wait until an Instructor arrives to gain access. You will be able to drive your vehicle all the way along the road to the entrance of the Apiary.
You don’t have to be a Member to join us for a taster session – Please feel free to call by Sundays between 10am and 12 Noon, introduce yourself, don a protective suit "You will need your own gloves (Marigolds) and Wellingtons" and try it out, with absolutely no obligation to join our association !
