Promoting Healthy Bee Populations in The County of Swansea and Neath Port Talbot

Swarm Removal Services

At West Glamorgan Beekeepers Association, we frequently receive inquiries about swarming insects. However, we can only assist in cases involving honey bee swarms.

If you are unsure whether the insects are honey bees or another species (such as wasps or bumblebees), please consult our Swarm Identification Guide or contact us for advice.

What to Do If You Encounter a Honey Bee Swarm

  1. Stay Calm: Honey bees are generally not aggressive when swarming.
  2. Keep Your Distance: Avoid disturbing the swarm.
  3. Contact Us: Reach out to us immediately so we can safely and responsibly relocate the bees.

If the swarm involves other types of insects, we recommend contacting a local pest control service.
