Membership

Our aim is to promote the craft of beekeeping by educating both beekeepers and the general public.

While most of us are amateur, practicing beekeepers, membership is open to anyone with an interest in beekeeping.

Full Membership – £30.00

Your membership includes Bee Diseases Insurance Ltd (BDI)* for 3 colonies against American foulbrood (AFB) and European foulbrood (EFB) diseases until the 31st. December **.

Family Membership – £40.00

Family membership consists of one member of the family who is the beekeeper.
All the other family members who are not beekeepers will be associate members with no voting rights.

Junior £0.00

Junior Members are young persons under 16 years old.

All Juniors must be accompanied at all times by a parent or Guardian

If you would like to join our association, please fill in your details opposite select what type of Membership you’d like or Beginners Classes and click on send.

You will then shortly receive an invitation from us to Join the association.

Membership runs from the 1st January to the 31 December of that year

*All colonies must be insured against disease. You should ensure that you include any anticipated increase in the number of colonies (including swarms) or all insurance will be invalid

** (Subject to the 40-day Rule) together with the association of the WBKA which includes public liability insurance for all full members.
